ARTIST BIO:

Zederman was born August 28, 1889 in Stockholm. He was a Swedish civil engineer, painter and draftsman.

He graduated from the Tekniska skolan in Stockholm in 1909 and then worked in the construction industry. He received his building license n Stockholm in 1912 and among his buildings are Ford's buildings in Stockholm and Malmö. In addition to his work, he was active as an artist. He studied at Isaac Grünewald's painting school and during several study trips to the continent. During the 1950s he travelled to Paris to study with artists André Lhote. Zederman had solo exhibitions at Galleri Brinken and together with his son Lars at Ekström's Konstgalleri in Stockholm. He exhibited in several group exhibitions. Zederman produced a number of public art works including two decorative paintings at Ford's former office in Stockholm. He is best known for his landscapes, often with an abstract element, of Bornholm, France and Spain, painted in oil.

He passed away in Stockholm on May 22, 1969.
